My Gear

My Gear stuff!

Work station.
i am currently using a custom build PC that i build my self.
    the spec are:
                        Intel i7 2600
                        MSI P67A-G45
                        Geforce GT-430
                        8gb or ddr3 ram
160 sata hdd(for OS and Apps)
                                                                             2tb Westendigital (for storage)
                                                                             dvd-rw sata drive

Software that I use:

OS:window 7 ultimate 64bit(great with i7 2nd gen processor)

Adobe CS5.5 Master collection: this software is a little on the pricey side.but it really give you all the ability when i comes to video and photo editing. The first time I got this software it takes a little getting use to,but when you get use to all the software ,it really worth it!

Now the reason why I choose i7 for my work station is because it support multi tasking and has the new technology called multi thread.what this mean is that i can edit my video and at the same time
been working on a photoshop project.also you wanna have to be able to see your edited footage in realtime and the great things about premier pro is that i has a new technology called the Mercury Playback Engine.and basically uses the GPU(gfxcard) processor to preview the footage that you editing.
giving you the realtime preview of the video.

 My Recording Equipment:

I currently own a Canon T3i/600d,and the reason why i choose this instead of the t2i/550d is probably because of the vary angle LCD screen.this really help when you getting a low angle or a high angle shoot.also it save you from getting an external screen.the camera is self is great and easy to use.and also easy to understand thanks to the canon new feature guide that is in the camera.
I bought this with the kit lens which is 18-55mm and its a great lens for beginner.you can really learn with this lens and i highly recommend this for beginner.however if you are on a low budget you can also buy the canon t2i/550d.this camera has become popular with magic lantern.so if you brave enough you can install it and get a great result with it!

For Memory card I have chosen the Sandisk Extreme Pro 16gb sdhc card.the reason why i choose this card is that it is currently has the highest class that i can record.but its also on the pricey side.but it worth it,this thing is totally indestructible,it is waterproof, shock proof, and also X-Ray proof.so basically its gonna last a long time.but if you don't wanna spend to much money on a memcard I would suggest that you get at less a class 6 memcard, because any lower its gonna effect the recording process.

For Tripod I choose the Velbon cx-444.this is a mid range tripod and it works prety well for my need.you really don't want to spend to much on tripod but make sure you get a decent one because its the thing that gonna hold you hundred pound camera!.
